The main reason behind dry eye comes down to your tear glands being blocked or no longer being able to produce tears.

So what our mist therapy wand does is flush your eyes with warm mist, to not only hydrate your eyes, but to stimulate your tear glands into working normally again.

Which gives you relief almost instantly, but also throughout the day so you won't have to constantly re-apply eye drops or go through the day with dry eyes.

How long does it take to feel relief?

Is the mist safe for my eyes?

Yes! The mist is nowhere near hot, rather it comes out at body temperature - similar to what you'd expect from a humidifier or face steamer.

How often should I use the wand? Can I use it everyday?

We recommend using our mist therapy wand for 5 minutes at the start and end of each day for immediate relief that lasts throughout the day.

If you'd like to use it more though, that's completely fine!

Will the wand get moldy? How do I stop mold from building up?

With the way our mist therapy wand is designed, it's nearly impossible for mold to form. Since it uses ultrasonic technology (similar to a newer model humidifier), there's no internal parts that stay wet.

If you're worried about the water tank or silicone eye surround getting moldy, simply unscrew the cap, remove the silicone eye surround and let them both air dry.

To this day and out of all the mist therapy wands we've sold, we've never had a customer complain about mold build up!

How hot does the mist get?

Our mist therapy wand offers 4 levels of warmth, which can be selected using the heating mode button.

The default mode is no heating, which will give you a cool / room temperature mist. Once you start using the heating modes, you can select between 100°F (38°C), 104°F (40°C), and 108°F (42°C). All of which are gentle and 100% safe for your eyes.

Should I keep my eyes open or closed when using the wand?

You can do whatever feels best!

We recommend using our mist therapy wand for 5-10 seconds at a time with your eyes open, alternating between both eyes for about 5 minutes.

With that being said though, you're able to do whatever you like! If you'd prefer keeping your eyes open with constant mist for 5 minutes, 10 minutes or even 15 minutes, you can do so. 

If you'd prefer keeping your eyes closed, that's completely fine as well.

It works, but is overpriced

Although this gadget seems to work okay, I have issues with what it is for the cost. Firstly, the instructions are tiny and I needed a magnifying glass to read them. Secondly, there are some glaring omissions in these instructions, e.g. "it is recommended to turn on the heating function button for about minutes" - how many? Lastly, there's not enough explanation - e.g. do you use with eyes open or closed? There is mention of a 'double eye round spray' - I don't appear to have this. Having paid £45 each for 2 devices, (one a gift for my daughter) I did expect more.
